Naysayers will say electric vans are too heavy and therefore cannot carry the same weight as a Diesel van! – That used to be true but the UK Government have changed the rules.
I quote:
If you hold a category B driving licence, you can drive an electric or hydrogen-powered vehicle with a maximum authorised mass (MAM) of up to 4,250kg. The vehicle must be a zero emission vehicle.
Plus, as it is Electric, you do not need to use a Tachograph, as you would for a Diesel van over 3500kg.
The long and short of it is – If you have a Standard UK driving license (cat B) you can now drive an electric van up to 4250kg.
